Job Description:
Director, Surgical Robotics Services 4-Hospital Health System | Greater Atlanta, GA Area (relocation assistance is available) A 4-hospital health system in the greater Atlanta area is seeking an experienced Director of Surgical Robotics Services to lead and grow its robotic surgery program. This role provides strategic, operational, financial, and clinical leadership across the system, working closely with surgeons, OR teams, hospital leadership, and administrative staff to ensure safe, efficient, evidence-based robotic surgical care. The ideal candidate brings strong robotics expertise, proven leadership experience, and the ability to build teams, improve performance, support physician growth, and advance a high-quality robotic surgery program across multiple sites. Key Responsibilities Lead the strategic direction and long-term growth of the robotic surgery program. Oversee daily operations, scheduling, resource allocation, quality assurance, and program standardization. Develop and maintain robotics policies, procedures, training, credentialing, and quality review processes. Build, train, and retain a dedicated core robotic surgery team. Support new and existing robotic surgeons with clinical and operative program needs. Partner with OR leadership to improve efficiency, reduce turnover times, and strengthen team performance. Evaluate robotic platforms, technology, equipment, maintenance needs, and future capital investments. Participate in budget planning, manage operating costs, and present capital needs to executive leadership. Monitor KPIs, patient outcomes, utilization, quality, safety, and program performance. Collaborate with physicians, hospital leaders, and regional partners to increase referrals and expand robotic and minimally invasive surgery services. Support physician outreach, community visibility, and recruitment of additional robotic subspecialties.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
BSN or MSN preferred; MHA, MBA, or related master's degree also considered.
Experience:
7+ years of surgical robotics experience, including 3+ years in management or program leadership. Strong knowledge of robotic surgery operations, OR workflows, technology, training, credentialing, budgeting, quality improvement, and multi-site leadership. Ideal Candidate A hands-on robotics leader who can balance clinical credibility, operational discipline, physician alignment, and program growth.
