Patient Care Coordinator - Edison, NJ
ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Patient Care Coordinator, serving as the first point of contact for patients in a dynamic medical practice. Responsible for seamless patient flow, appointment management, and exceptional customer service delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Patient Services:
Greet patients, verify demographics/insurance, manage check-in/check-out processes
Scheduling & Flow:
Optimize daily schedules, minimize missed appointments, coordinate patient movement
Administrative Tasks:
Process referrals/authorizations, collect payments, handle multi-line phone system
Technology:
Utilize electronic health records for documentation and workflow management
Support Functions:
Filing, copying, faxing, message management, and reception area maintenance
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong multitasking and organizational abilities EHR/computer proficiency Professional demeanor with confidentiality awareness Ability to work independently and collaboratively Detail-oriented with strong decision-making skills
PREFERRED
Bilingual capabilities Medical office experience Insurance verification knowledge

Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
