Role:
The Senior Operations Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the daily operations and strategic initiatives of the clinic. This position requires strong leadership skills, healthcare industry knowledge, and the ability to effectively manage resources, enhance efficiency, and improve patient experience. The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for coordinating various departments, optimizing workflows, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and direction to the orthopedic clinic, aligning operational activities with organizational goals and objectives. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinic, including scheduling, patient flow, staffing, and resource allocation, to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and administrative personnel to optimize workflows and enhance the patient experience. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and best practices in orthopedic care. Monitor and evaluate clinic performance, analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and implementing performance improvement initiatives as needed. Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous learning, promoting staff engagement, professional growth, and effective communication across departments. Manage and optimize clinic resources, including equipment, supplies, and inventory, to support operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as vendors, insurers, and referring physicians, to enhance collaboration and expand the clinic's network. Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices in orthopedic care and operations management, applying relevant knowledge to drive innovation and quality improvement. Implement and oversee patient satisfaction initiatives, ensuring a patient-centered approach to care delivery and addressing any concerns or complaints. Collaborate with the finance department to manage the clinic's budget, monitor expenses, and optimize revenue generation through effective billing and coding practices. Lead and supervise a team of clinic staff, providing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to support professional growth and ensure high-quality service delivery.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred but not required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare operations management, preferably in an orthopedic clinic or similar healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of orthopedic clinic operations, including patient flow, scheduling, billing, and regulatory compliance. Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively lead a team, drive change, and achieve operational goals. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify areas for improvement and implement innovative solutions. Understanding of healthcare regulations and quality standards, including HIPAA, OSHA, and relevant accrediting bodies. Proficiency in using healthcare software systems, electronic health records (EHR), and other operational tools to manage and analyze data. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including physicians, staff, patients, and external partners. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a commitment to driving operational excellence and achieving high-quality patient care outcomes.
