Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Quality & Performance Improvement Lead/coordinate cardiac quality improvement (QI) initiatives aligned with organizational strategic priorities and national benchmarks Monitor and report measures, registry outcomes, and key performance indicators (KPIs) Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to implement evidence-based practices Support readiness for regulatory and accreditation surveys (Joint Commission, CMS, state agencies) Data Registry Management Oversee submission and validation of clinical registry data (e.g., NCDR CathPCI, EP, STS, or equivalent) Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness in compliance with registry standards Establish data auditing processes and corrective action plans as needed Serve as the subject matter expert for registry definitions, abstraction, and reporting Data Analytics & Reporting Analyze data trends and benchmark performance against national standards Develop dashboards and reports for leadership, medical staff, and quality committees Translate data into actionable insights to improve patient outcomes, reduce variation, and optimize care delivery Leadership & Program Development Supervise registry abstractors and quality staff as applicable Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making Partner with IT, informatics, and clinical leadership to enhance data systems and workflows Support program certifications (e.g., Cath Lab Certification, Heart Failure, TAVR) Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field required Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse highly preferred Master's degree preferred 3-5 years of experience in healthcare quality, data abstraction, or registry management Experience with cardiovascular or specialty registries strongly preferred Demonstrated experience in quality improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, PDSA cycles)
