This role is ideal for a seasoned healthcare professional who enjoys overseeing front-office workflow, coordinating patient communication, and ensuring smooth day-to-day practice operations while also providing clinical support when needed. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, comfortable interacting with adult patients, and able to work independently in a fast-paced medical environment.
Schedule Pay:
$20.00 - $21.00 per hour
Part-Time:
3 days per week, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Additional hours may be available based on clinic needs. Primary Responsibilities Practice Coordination & Administrative Duties Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments Review patient balances and communicate financial responsibilities before visits Answer and triage incoming phone calls Manage incoming and outgoing faxes, emails, and patient communications Coordinate patient scheduling and appointment workflows Prepare and reconcile weekly deposits Order and maintain office and clinical supplies Communicate with billing personnel regarding insurance claims, ICD-10 and CPT coding questions, and account follow-up Coordinate pharmaceutical representative visits and office lunches Assist in maintaining efficient office operations and workflow Clinical Support Duties Room patients and prepare them for examination Obtain and document vital signs Perform point-of-care testing, including blood glucose checks Administer injections and immunizations as directed Perform EKGs Assist providers with medication refills Update patient histories, medications, and pharmacy information Qualifications 1-2 years of experience in a medical office, healthcare administration, medical assisting, or practice coordination role Strong experience with insurance verification, patient balances, and front-office operations Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding terminology and medical billing workflows Medical Assistant experience preferred Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Experience with EMR/EHR systems required Ideal Candidate We are seeking a mature, professional team member who takes ownership of office operations, communicates effectively with patients and staff, and helps ensure an exceptional patient experience from scheduling through follow-up care.
