Admissions Coordinator Co-Occurring Substance Use & Mental Health

Position Overview Rubicon Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and driven Admissions Coordinator to join our growing team. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients and referral sources seeking mental health and substance use treatment services.

The ideal candidate is professional, organized, comfortable speaking on the phone, and able to build trust quickly with individuals who may be experiencing difficult life circumstances. Strong communication skills, sales or phone experience, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential. Responsibilities Answer inbound calls from prospective clients, families, and referral sources Conduct intake screenings and gather basic client information Explain treatment programs, services, and admission processes Verify insurance benefits and assist with admissions coordination Maintain accurate client documentation and data entry Follow up with leads and referral sources in a timely manner Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth admissions Provide compassionate, professional customer service at all times Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Qualifications Previous phone, customer service, sales, or admissions experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Basic computer skills and comfort learning new systems Strong work ethic and ability to work independently Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented Ability to multitask and manage a high-volume call environment Experience in behavioral healthcare or substance abuse treatment is a plus, but not required Position Details Full-time salaried position Competitive compensation based on experience Opportunity for growth within a rapidly expanding organization About Us Rubicon Behavioral Healthcare provides compassionate outpatient mental health and substance use treatment services designed to help individuals build lasting recovery and emotional wellness.
