POSITION

A patient care coordinator performs a number of duties, including greeting and scheduling patients and visitors, bookkeeping, calling patients to remind them of appointments, handling billing, answering and routing calls, performing transactions, and keeping paperwork organized. The patient care coordinator mainly uses telephones and computers to communicate with patients and staff, so they must have basic knowledge of computers. A patient care coordinator must interact frequently with patients, medical professionals, and supervisors, meaning they must have excellent communication skills and be personable.

LOCATION DESCRIPTION

The City of Alamogordo, just outside White Sands National Monument, rests at the foot of the beautiful Sacramento Mountains, which rise 4500 ft right from the edge of the city. The mountain resort town of Ruidoso is located in the alpine foothills of the famous 12,000 ft Sierra Blanca (named for its snowy cap). Attractions include the racetrack at Ruidoso Downs and the ski slopes known as Ski Apache. The Las Cruces and Alamogordo climate is ideal, providing superb year-round sunny weather (350 days per year) and moderate "spring and fall" temperatures for 10 months out of the year. Our two locations provide access to cities such as Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Tucson, El Paso, and historically rich locations such as Old Mesilla, Cloudcroft, and the Gila National Forest.
