Job Description

Job Title:
Testing Coordinator, Medicare Wellness Reports to:
Supervisor, Value-Based Care Status:
Full-Time, Non-Exempt The Testing Coordinator-MA is responsible for performing Diabetic testing for patients, including a Diabetic foot exam, ANSAR testing, Retina scan, and lab follow-up with regards to A1c and Microalbumin. This role is also responsible for performing VAT Testing (Vestibular Autorotation Test) for patients who suffer from dizziness or other balance issues. This position will be based in Cedar Crest, NM, and will require travel to other clinic locations in Moriarty, Edgewood, Albuquerque, and Los Lunas. Pay for position has been adjusted to assist with cost of travel required for role.
Job Responsibilities:
Performs Diabetic and VAT testing according to standard operating procedures Ability to produce referrals as needed Correctly performs CLIA in-house testing with regards to A1c and Microalbumin specimen collection, including correct documentation Completes data entry, including but not limited to patient charting, record keeping, and submitting weekly & monthly reports Completes documentation in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook Acts as a liaison for the patients, to relay information and questions to the appropriate teammates in a timely manner Completes TMFlow testing, which checks for neuropathy. Other duties as assigned
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent Licensed/certified Medical Assistant BLS/CPR (may be obtained upon acceptance of position) Valid driver's license required with clean driving record and compliance with company screening requirement for driving record 1 year experience as an MA in the medical field, chronic care, diabetic testing or VAT testing experience strongly preferred

Medium Work Behavioral Demands/Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with team members, patient's and providers Familiarity and experience with working in an electronic medical record system (EMR) Ability to work independently and multi-task Excellent patient rapport; able to promote a feeling of comfort and understanding with testing procedures in a timely manner Outstanding attention to detail, ability to obtain and enter accurate demographic information into our EMR (address, phone number, emergency contact info, alternative phone number, insurance information, etc.) Display a positive and professional demeanor in all interactions
