Job Purpose The Henderson Chamber of Commerce is looking for an organized, people-first Association Health Plan Administrator (AHPA) to manage and grow our association health plan (AHP) program. Reporting directly to the President/CEO, you'll be the steady hand behind four member health plan committees, the day-to-day relationship with UnitedHealthcare and our broker community, and the member experience that keeps our plans running smoothly. If you enjoy variety, thrive on detail, and like knowing your work directly supports the local business community, this role was built for you.
Primary Job Functions:
Partner with the CEO to administer four association health plan committees (Retail, Services, Construction, and Manufacturing)—scheduling, agendas, content, communications, packets, room and Zoom setup, and minutes. Serve as the primary point of contact with UnitedHealthcare on AHP management, including membership verification, broker correspondence, and marketing and promotion. Be the go-to contact for participating brokers and associations—answering questions, troubleshooting plan issues, and delivering excellent customer service. Manage member retention, billing, and collections, including monthly HCC membership retention billing and compliance reporting to UHC. Respond to information requests and broker referrals from prospective members. Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date records in the CRM for all AHP correspondence and member data. Complete federal AHP reporting (M-1 and 5500 forms) and perform database audits as needed. Review AHP marketing materials and prepare reports, presentations, memos, and proposals. Administer HCC's staff health benefits, including new-hire onboarding and COBRA. Provide administrative and scheduling support to the CEO, and pitch in on other projects in a dynamic, growing organization.

Exceptional written and verbal communication, with a calm, polished, professional presence across corporate, community, staff, and government audiences. A creative, solution-oriented mindset and a sharp eye for detail and accuracy. Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook, plus QuickBooks; comfort with virtual meeting platforms and new technology. Strong organization and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle interruptions, shifting priorities, and tight timelines independently.
Work Context & Physical Requirements:
This is an in-person, public-facing role involving regular face-to-face interaction, public speaking, and event participation, with prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking and frequent interruptions throughout the day.
