This position focuses on fitting and distributing orthopedic braces and medical equipment to patients based on physician orders. The ideal candidate will provide excellent patient service, maintain inventory, and work closely with the clinical team to support patient care. Responsibilities Fit patients with braces, splints, orthotics, and other durable medical equipment as ordered by providers. Educate patients on the proper use, care, and adjustment of their equipment. Ensure equipment fits properly and comfortably before patient discharge. Maintain organized and accurate inventory of DME supplies and equipment. Monitor stock levels and notify management when supplies need to be reordered. Perform routine inventory counts and keep storage areas clean and organized. Document equipment dispensed in electronic health records (EHR) and other systems as needed. Work closely with physicians, medical assistants, and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and quality care. Ensure all equipment is clean, safe, and in good working condition. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a medical office, orthopedic clinic, or DME setting preferred. Knowledge of orthopedic braces, splints, and assistive devices is a plus. Strong communication and customer service skills. Excellent organization and attention to detail. Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to patient confidentiality and high-quality patient care.
Pay:
From $18.00 per hour
