Primary Responsibilities:
Act as a Subject Matter Expert for other team members Manage the intake of members or the admission information and imaging records Work with hospitals, clinics, facilities and the clinical team to manage requests for services Manage the referral process, processing incoming and outgoing referrals and prior authorizations, including intake, notification and census roles Manage and intake members Resolve inquiries from members and/or providers What are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group? Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED 2+ years of experience analyzing and solving customer problems 2+ years of experience working in the health care industry 2+ years of experience working in medical terminology Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel (creating, editing, saving) as well as Microsoft Outlook (customizing, navigating)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with health care insurance Experience in a hospital, physician's office or medical clinic setting Clerical or administrative support background or experience working in a call center environment Experience working with Medicare and/or Medicaid Services Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
