Great Benefits! Job Summary We're seeking a caring and organized Patient Coordinator with dental experience to join our fun and collaborative Oral Surgery office in Purchase, NY. In this role, you'll serve as the first point of contact for patients undergoing oral surgery procedures, ensuring a smooth and positive experience from initial consultation through post-operative care. Your knowledge of dental terminology, insurance, dental administrative support, and patient service will help facilitate efficient clinic operations, accurate documentation, and seamless communication between patients and the clinical team. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance coverage, and facilitate appointment scheduling using Curve Hero. Manage patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories, updating care plans, and reviewing documentation for accuracy and completeness. Verify insurance benefits, perform insurance verification, and handle billing. Maintain accurate patient records by updating electronic health records (EHR) systems and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for confidentiality and security. Coordinate with clinical staff to prepare for procedures, including pre-operative instructions and post-operative follow-up. Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, provide exceptional customer service, and address patient inquiries promptly while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Treatment plan oral surgery procedures thoroughly and effectively. Requirements Proven experience in a dental or oral surgery clinic environment with strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical administrative procedures. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Curve Hero, Dentrix or similar platforms; experience with electronic health information management is essential. Knowledge of dental coding and insurance guidelines Ability to review documentation thoroughly to ensure accuracy in medical records and billing processes. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy clinical setting; clerical experience at the front desk or medical receptionist role is highly desirable. Exceptional customer service skills paired with professional phone etiquette; previous experience handling multi-line phone systems is preferred. Some college preferred

$27.00 - $32.00 per hour
