Job Description

Client Entitlements Coordinator - General Description To maintain financial entitlement files for consumers in certified ATP programs. Submits agency financial reports regarding Apartment Treatment Program to the Office of Mental Health and/or other oversight entities. Client Entitlements Coordinator - Qualification and Competencies Bachelor's degree in business or human service-related discipline. At least three (3) to five (5) years of experience with mental health population or treatment experience. (5) +years of qualifying experience may be substituted for Bachelor's degree. Basic bookkeeping concepts, Excel spreadsheet Demonstrates organizational and communication skills which would enable effective interaction with agency staff, consumers/clients/families, and the community. Critical thinking and sound judgement skills are necessary. Word Processing Programs. Working Knowledge of New York City Human Resources Administration and Social Security Administration Client Entitlements Coordinator - Summary of Duties and Responsibilities Provides financial guidance to consumers, including benefits eligibility, rent obligations, and coordination with Social Security, HRA, OTDA, and other agencies. Manages tenant financial processes, including rent calculations, documentation tracking, billing, receipts, and delinquent account follow-up. Conducts consumer financial meetings, pre-admission financial reviews, discharge planning, and post-discharge financial activities. Completes and oversees applications, recertifications, and reporting for entitlements and benefits, including Representative Payee responsibilities when applicable. Acts as liaison between program staff, business office, and external agencies to resolve consumer billing and financial issues. Maintains accurate financial and entitlement records to support audits and ensure regulatory compliance. Contributes to departmental improvement through staff training, procedure development, cross-training, and adherence to agency policies while fostering inclusive partnerships.
