Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Patient Care Coordinator will protect the health and safety of the patient and advocate to improve patient outcomes. Interacts with all members of the healthcare team to keep the lines of communication open. Responsible for coordinating information between patients and physicians/nurses within the clinical setting, ensuring everyone involved in the case is up to date with the latest patient information. Additional responsibilities include scheduling diagnostic testing outside of the practice with follow up to the patient regarding additional testing. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Medical Assistant or equivalent.
- 3 years' healthcare office experience, preferred.
Equipment, Machines and Software Used:
Office Equipment:
Computer, printer, photocopier, telephone, fax machine.
Computer Software:
Nextech and Outlook Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent phone etiquette.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong oral communication skills to interact with patients in a professional and helpful manner in person or over the phone.
- Ability to communicate with others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Knowledge of patient care requirements before and after surgery.
- Must be detail-oriented and well organized.
