About the
Role:
The Patient Care Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care throughout their healthcare journey. This position involves managing patient appointments, facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers, and ensuring that all necessary medical documentation is completed accurately. The coordinator will also assist patients with understanding their medical insurance benefits and billing processes, ensuring a smooth experience. Ultimately, the goal of this role is to enhance patient satisfaction and improve health outcomes through effective coordination of care.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient care coordination or a similar role. Knowledge of medical insurance processes and patient billing. Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams)
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with No Fault and Workers Compensation Insurance Experience using
Criterions EHR Prior Orthopedics Experience Responsibilities:
Manage and schedule patient appointments, ensuring optimal use of provider time and resources. Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, addressing any questions or concerns regarding treatment plans. Prepare patient packets for the Doctors prior to the Date of Service, Check Patients-In, Check Patients Out Maintain accurate patient records and update the EHR as necessary
Locations:
Main office is in our New Hyde Park location Travel a few times a month to our other locations such as but not limited to Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Kew Gardens.
