Job Description

Private medical practice seeking an organized and proactive Medical Office Coordinator. In this role, your focus will be optimizing workflow and patient care. You will manage daily desk operations, handle patient logistics, and navigate insurance workflows to ensure excellent patient care. This is a strictly administrative, desk-based role with no clinical or hands-on patient care duties.
Key Responsibilities Insurance Navigation:
Submit, track, and secure prior authorizations for medications and procedures.
Referral Management:
Process incoming and outgoing specialist referrals, ensuring all documentation is accurate.
Patient Scheduling:
Manage the provider calendar, schedule appointments, and coordinate follow-up care.
Office Logistics:
Monitor and order office supplies, manage incoming mail, and maintain an organized front-desk environment.
Patient Interaction:
Greet patients, answer phone calls, respond to emails, and address scheduling inquiries.
Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a medical office setting is required.
Insurance Knowledge:
Direct experience navigating insurance portals and managing prior authorizations is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and standard office software.
Attributes:
Strong multitasking abilities, excellent verbal communication, and a reliable, independent work ethic suited for a small team environment.
Pay:
$22.00 - $30.00 per hour
