ABOUT ORAL DENTAL STUDIO ORAL
Dental Studio is a full-service dental practice on Manhattan's Lower East Side. At our core, we are a patient-focused practice that takes the time to know our patients and deliver care that feels personal. We pair that with a modern, technology-forward environment and a full range of services, from general and cosmetic dentistry to oral surgery, orthodontics, and prosthodontics, all under one roof.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a role for someone who is genuinely great with people and serious about what that means in a clinical environment. As a Patient Care Coordinator at ORAL, you are the consistent presence patients interact with from first call through completed treatment — and the person responsible for keeping that relationship strong at every step. You will present treatment plans, guide patients through their financial options, and follow up with the kind of attentiveness that turns a single visit into a long-term relationship with the practice.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Patient Communication and Relationship Management Own the patient relationship with ORAL across the full care journey — from first contact through completed treatment and beyond Handle inbound patient calls and manage ongoing communication via phone, text, and email Serve as the point of continuity patients rely on when they have questions, need next steps, or are navigating a transition in their care Treatment Presentation and Case Acceptance Present treatment plans following the doctor's recommendation, translating clinical findings into language patients can act on Guide patients through insurance coverage, out-of-pocket estimates, and financial options — coordinating with our insurance team on complex cases and internal specialist referrals Handle questions and objections with confidence and empathy Close accepted treatment to the schedule before the patient leaves or goes cold, keeping the schedule full Outreach and Reactivation Follow up proactively with patients who have unscheduled treatment Conduct reactivation outreach for patients who are overdue or have lapsed from care
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
2+ years in a patient-facing, client-facing, or guest-facing role where relationship management was central Comfort discussing insurance, out-of-pocket costs, and financial options directly with patients Working knowledge of dental insurance preferred; experience in a dental or medical setting is a plus Organized, proactive, and thorough — nothing falls through the cracks Experience with dental practice management software (Curve Hero, Practice by Numbers, or similar EHR) is a plus
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
In compliance with the New York City Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role is $60,000 to $70,000 annually , commensurate with experience, and with opportunities for additional incentive pay.
