Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, the Lead Clinical Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the clinical integrity of the program while providing high-quality clinical and administrative supervision to a team of up to six licensed and unlicensed clinicians. This role ensures adherence to agency standards, OMH regulations (if applicable), ethical practice guidelines, and evidence-based care. The Lead Clinical Supervisor will also maintain a reduced caseload of children, adolescents, and families (ages 3-18), modeling best practices in youth and family-centered treatment. This position requires advanced clinical expertise, strong leadership and mentorship skills, and a deep commitment to delivering compassionate, developmentally responsive care.
Leadership and Administrative Responsibilities:
Provide clinical and administrative supervision, guidance, and mentorship to a dedicated team of mental health clinicians, motivated by a drive for quality and excellence. Reviews and ensures clinical documentation is accurate and submitted within the established time frame. Support leadership in EMR development and training to support seamless clinical functions and workflows, to include developing onboarding programming for new clinicians. Assist clinical team in a crisis, maintaining a culture of safety and quality clinic wide. Participates in after-hours on-call coverage on a rotating basis and provides clinical backup to the clinical director in a clinical emergency. Drive quality care and process improvement through regular case consultation, peer reviews, and group supervision meetings with clinical team. Monitors the flow of cases on supervisees' caseloads to ensure that a balanced approach to intakes and discharges occur. Forms a highly effective clinical team to accomplish the program's short- and long-term goals. Collaborate with clinical leadership and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement therapeutic programs and initiatives, ensuring they align with current best practices and ethical and legal requirements. Evaluate program effectiveness, monitor outcomes, and make recommendations for continuous improvement based on clinical data and client feedback. Promote a culture of learning, collaboration, and professional growth by coordinating and facilitating training programs, workshops, and continuing education opportunities for therapists and clinical staff.
Clinical Responsibilities:
Provide caring and comprehensive clinical services to a reduced caseload of clients, ages 3-18 through individual, group, and family therapy. Complete comprehensive clinical documentation that meets the ethical and legal standards of the clinic and its regulatory bodies. Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, educators, and community resources. Stay up to date with the latest research, best practices, and trends in child and adolescent mental health therapy. Provides some case management, including referrals and linkages to community support services to support and empower client's goals. Involve clients, caregivers, and others in client-centered, multidimensional assessment and care. Collaborate with clients to establish personalized treatment goals that are client-centered and based on their strengths. Modify treatment as necessary according to client progress and current need. Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, play therapy, family therapy, and mindfulness techniques. Collaborate with clients on their discharge plans to ensure their ongoing treatment needs are met after discharge. Offer services in person and/or via telehealth based on client and clinic needs. Attend and actively participate in agency and program/team meetings. Other duties as assigned.
Competencies:
Licensure as an LCSW is desired, all licenses will be considered. Minimum of 5+ years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a social services/mental health environment. Minimum of 1 year experience providing clinical supervision and monitoring performance of clinical staff within a mental health setting. Experience running group therapy and willingness to support group infrastructure and group programming. Working knowledge of mental health services coordination and management. OMH experience is highly desired. Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with proficiency in evidenced-based treatment modalities. Leadership abilities, including supervision, team building, and program development skills. Specialized training or experience in child and adolescent mental health therapy, to include but not limited to training in
TFCBT, CPP, PCIT, MAP, DBT.
Willingness and enthusiasm to train in evidence-based practices utilized with children and adolescents. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with children, adolescents, and their families as well as community stakeholders and referring providers. Ability to utilize analysis, experience, and judgment to make decisions. Commitment to team objectives and Child Care Council, Inc. mission and values.
