Job Description

Job Summary :
The Partial Hospitalization Program Manager (PHP Manager) oversees the daily operations, clinical direction, and strategic growth of both the Adult and Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Programs (collectively, "Partial Programs"). This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care through effective leadership, service coordination, and adherence to regulatory standards. The PHP Manager collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to support recovery-focused treatment and acts in an ancillary supervisory capacity for Inpatient Psychiatry programs, serving as backup to the Regional Director of Inpatient Psychiatry. Additionally, the PHP Manager functions as a liaison between the hospital and community service providers, as well as between staff and the Mental Health Services Administration, with a focus on supervising and monitoring compliance with clinical practice standards.
Responsibilities :
Oversees the daily clinical functioning of the Partial Programs and monitors program census through effective management of screening referrals, follow-up coordination, outreach efforts, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders Oversees day-to-day environmental operation of facility Assures confidentiality of all patient information and protects patients' rights Manages departmental staffing, including administration of budget requests and Human Resources Department support, and assures adequate program coverage Completes all documentation in a timely manner as required by HealthAlliance Hospital and MHS. Participates in MHS and HAHV meetings as required, including team meetings, case conferences, IRC, staff meetings, orientation, mandatory in service, and staff development Provides supervision to the Partial Program's office manager, nurses, students, interns and clinical staff/advocates (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, and/or LCAT) Acts in an ancillary supervisory capacity for appropriate staff in the Inpatient Psychiatry program, serving as backup to the Regional Director of Inpatient Psychiatry Provides support and coverage for Inpatient Psychiatry therapeutic programming needs including, but not limited to, staffing support, clinical troubleshooting and medical record compliance monitoring Provides troubleshooting support for operational and clinical issues within the Inpatient Psychiatry program. Maintains knowledge and proficiency to ensure planning and treatment are appropriate to age, specific developmental patterns, and health care needs Functions as a liaison between staff and hospital/Mental Health Services administration Ensures compliance with hospital quality assurance and quality improvement standards and activities Coordinates participation and liaison efforts with community agencies and stakeholders
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience:
Five years of post-graduate experience in the practice of clinical mental health and one year of supervisory experience are required. Prefer knowledge of OMH and DNV regulations.
Education:
A Bachelor's degree and Master of Social Work degree or PsyD / PhD in Psychology awarded from accredited graduate programs, are required. Licenses /
Certifications:
NYS license in Clinical Social Work (LCSW) or Psychology. Ongoing training in theory, principles, and modalities of mental health conditions and treatment, social work, and/or mental health counseling.
