This is an opportunity to play a key role in advancing a highly respected healthcare institution through transformational philanthropy. The Director of Development will manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects, with a focus on gifts of $10,000+ and leadership-level giving opportunities of $100,000+. The ideal candidate will partner closely with physicians, senior leadership, and Foundation stakeholders to drive grateful patient fundraising initiatives and deepen donor engagement across the region. Key Responsibilities Manage and grow a portfolio of 100-150 major gift donors and prospects Cultivate, solicit, and steward gifts with a focus on $10K-$100K+ contributions Partner with physicians to advance grateful patient fundraising opportunities Identify and qualify new donor prospects through strategic relationship building Develop compelling donor proposals, stewardship materials, and fundraising communications Collaborate with senior leadership and Foundation Board members on donor strategy and cultivation Support donor engagement events and fundraising initiatives Maintain accurate donor activity and pipeline management within RE NXT / Raiser's Edge Qualifications 5-10+ years of nonprofit development or major gifts fundraising experience Hospital, healthcare, academic medicine, or large nonprofit foundation experience strongly preferred Demonstrated success cultivating and closing major gifts Experience working with high-net-worth individuals, executives, physicians, or board leadership Strong communication, presentation, and relationship management skills Experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge / RE NXT preferred Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred Why This Opportunity?
