Job Description

Job Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented and energetic Shift Supervisor to join our team at CitiMed. The Shift Supervisor serves as a key operational leader on the floor, working closely alongside the Clinic Manager to drive day-to-day performance. While this role reports directly to the Manager, the Supervisor is empowered to act as a collaborative partner — helping execute strategy, lead staff, and proactively resolve issues without constant escalation.
Detailed Responsibilities:
Deliver exceptional customer service to all patients, providers, physicians, and staff, modeling the standard expected of the entire team. Partner with the Manager to plan, supervise, and manage all functions related to patient care staff within the facility, serving as the primary point of leadership during assigned shifts. Lead by example with a roll-up-the-sleeves approach — stepping into any department as needed to maintain smooth operations and support staff. Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of corporate patient services, ensuring consistency and quality. Identify opportunities to increase operational efficiency; collaborate with the Manager to develop, apply, and follow through on updated protocols that enhance patient flow and overall experience Analyze root causes of appointment wait times and work alongside the Manager, leadership, and providers to improve patient access and scheduling effectiveness. Exercise sound judgment and independent decision-making to resolve scheduling and front desk issues in real time, escalating to the Manager when appropriate. Communicate and monitor performance standards across the team; conduct fair and consistent evaluations in alignment with Manager expectations. Lead regular team meetings to relay policy updates, procedural changes, and operational priorities; maintain open lines of communication between frontline staff and management. Serve as the first point of escalation for complex patient complaints or inquiries related to scheduling and front desk operations, resolving issues and keeping the Manager informed. Performs any clerical duty and task that is requested of his or her assistant/manager to improve provider productivity, patient care, and efficient office flow. Other duties as required.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience within a practice-level healthcare organization, with a demonstrated ability to lead teams, oversee daily operations, and drive performance in a clinical or administrative setting.
