The Brunswick Family Health Center Emergency Department features board-certified, emergency medicine physicians available around-the-clock to provide comprehensive care to adults and children. Depending on the type of visit, there are specific areas designed to take care of individual needs efficiently and compassionately. Backed by the full resources of Cleveland Clinic, the Emergency Department provides advanced care to the Brunswick community. As Health Unit Coordinator (HUC), you will offer unparalleled customer service to patients, families and visitors to enhance the Cleveland Clinic experience. Using your administrative and clerical skills, you will ensure an efficient operational flow of the department, allowing your fellow caregivers to continue providing optimal patient care. A caregiver in this position works PRN (as needed) variable shifts. You must work 48 hours within a six-week period. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Conduct an in-person greeting, welcome and orientation to the unit for newly admitted and transferred patients. Respond to patient call lights and make rounds. Assist with processing patient admissions, transfers and discharges. Assist patients and families with wayfinding and direct them to available resources. Assemble and maintain patient medical records and other documents related to patient care. Assist with unit clerical functions and in trouble-shooting equipment failures, such as call system, portable phones, WOWs and other unit devices. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: High School Diploma or GED One year of experience in a customer service-related role Experience with typing, computer training or equivalent coursework Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: College degree Microsoft Office experience
Physical Requirements:
Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires frequent data entry, standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Requires normal or corrected speech, hearing and vision. Requires some exposure to communicable disease or body fluids.

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range Minimum hourly:
$20.75 Maximum hourly: $20.75 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not include the value of Cleveland Clinic's benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental and vision benefits, retirement savings account contributions, etc.).
