Job Description

Provides clinical care as an Advanced Practice Provider while leading a team of Advanced Practice Providers within the Institute or Hospital. Coordinates scheduling, and review of Advanced Practice Provider duties and responsible for ensuring appropriate utilization of team. Cleveland Clinic's Ohio West Submarket is seeking a full time NP/PA to join our leadership team as Coordinator, Advanced Practice Providers leading OR APPs across the perioperative spaces of Fairvew, Lutheran, and Avon Hospitals. This position will perform their clinical duties at Lutheran Hospital. The ideal candidate is preferred to have experience in a high volume surgical practice, to include surgical first assisting and post operative inpatient care. The ideal candidate must have at least two years of direct clinical APP experience in an academic, tertiary care, and trauma surgical environment. The ideal candidate has direct experience making and managing work schedules, leading and aligning people to clinical and business goals, providing timely and clear feedback, hiring, onboarding and orienting new caregivers. Previous experience with EPIC is a plus. This position will require BLS, ACLS, PALs, and DEA. When applying, please include a cover letter detailing your interest.

Responsibilities:
Primary role is that of an APRN or PA providing clinical practice in accordance with privileges granted and as appropriate for certification and licensure. Oversees the APP practice for multiple service lines within the institute, hospital or market of practice. Assists with the hiring, orientation and training of APPs. Performs annual performance reviews and monitors performance productivity for assigned areas. Provides clinical care in accordance with privileges granted and as appropriate for certification and licensure. Drives SQPE initiatives, develops and implements competencies for APPs with input from leadership. Serves as representative for assigned areas and facilitates team meetings and huddles. Communicates updates to leadership and presents reporting as appropriate. Other duties as assigned.
Education:
Graduate of an A.R.C
  • approved Physician Assistant Program, or Graduate of an accredited APRN program.
Languages:
English, written and spoken.
Certifications:
Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant State License. Must have prescriptive authority or eligible to apply for licensure to prescribe from the State Medical Board within 6 months of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) may be required based on assigned department.
Complexity of Work:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated competency and ability to perform advanced assessment, diagnosis, treatment plan development, and invasive procedures as per clinical privileges. Ability to interact effectively with all members of the institute, department, hospital and other caregivers at all levels. Strong planning and organizational skills. Ability to think critically and make sound decisions in stressful situations.
Work Experience:
Minimum of two years' experience as an Advanced Practice Provider. Previous scheduling experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Normal vision and hearing range (can be corrected) to properly examine, evaluate and communicate with patients. Ability to use a computer, phone and other technology to document patient records. Physical ability to assist patients as appropriate. Ability to stand for long periods and walk throughout the hospital campus and buildings.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range Minimum Annual Salary:
$118,960.00
Maximum Annual Salary:
$214,160.00 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. Actual compensation may be higher or lower than the standard range, depending on factors such as job responsibilities, relevant experience, skills, scheduling requirements, education, and area of licensure. Please note, the displayed pay range does not include additional pay practices or the value of Cleveland Clinic's comprehensive benefits package (including healthcare, dental and vision coverage, retirement savings contributions, and more). The listed range is based on a full-time (1.0 FTE) with the exception of PRN positions, which have an hourly rate based on the position type.
