Job Details:
Provide day-to-day supervision of the patient access functions. Develop methods that aid process improvement. Understand scheduling and preregistration processes and work flows. Educate schedulers and preregistration staff regarding departmental processes. Effectively communicate with all departments and clinics that are part of patient access and determine ways to continually improve processes. Handle issues that arise and determine the best solution for each situation.
Department Specific Job Details:
Education High school diploma is required Associates degree is preferred Experience 1+ years of experience in patient access or large hospital/medical front office Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work tactfully with patients, staff, and interdepartmental customers Proficient in customer service and data collection processes Ability to lead and motivate a team Knowledge of healthcare billing regulations, insurance and compliance requirements Excellent organizational and time-management skills Clarivate Certified Access Specialist Certification completion within one year of hire
