AOD or Mental Health Clinical Supervisor

Job Summary The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for providing clinical supervision and oversight to clinical staff within the outpatient behavioral health program. This position ensures that services are delivered in accordance with applicable state regulations, licensure standards, and organizational policies. The Clinical Supervisor supports high-quality, ethical, and effective clinical practice through individual and group supervision, documentation review, staff development, and quality improvement activities. In addition, the Clinical Supervisor may provide direct clinical services as needed. Duties and Essential Job Functions Provides regular individual and group clinical supervision to counselors and therapists in accordance with state supervision requirements, including documentation of supervision sessions. Supports counselors in case conceptualization, treatment planning, clinical decision-making, and implementation of evidence-based practices. Monitors clinical documentation, progress notes, treatment plans, and chart compliance to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to regulatory and organizational standards. Observes and evaluates clinical services including group facilitation and individual counseling to ensure quality and effectiveness. Provides direct clinical services to clients in individual and group settings as needed, serving youth and/or adult populations. Participates in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and assists in coordination of care. Assists with onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development of clinical staff. Supports compliance with credentialing, licensure, and continuing education requirements for clinical staff. Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement activities, including chart audits and clinical outcome monitoring. Collaborates with leadership on clinical policies, procedures, and program development. Assists with preparation for state inspections, audits, and other regulatory reviews. Promotes a positive, ethical, and trauma-informed workplace culture that supports staff retention and professional growth. Networks with community partners and referral sources as appropriate.

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs other duties as assigned to support clinical operations and organizational goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related Behavioral Health field. Current, unrestricted LICDC (Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor) or LISW (Licensed Independent Social Worker). Meets state requirements to provide clinical supervision. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working in mental health and/or substance use treatment. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Experience in outpatient behavioral health settings preferred. Demonstrated computer proficiency, including use of Electronic Health Records (EHR).

Ability to screen for risk to self or others and respond appropriately. Knowledge of treatment planning, utilization of community resources, and care coordination. Ability to analyze clinical and compliance data and support quality improvement initiatives. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to continuing professional development and clinical excellence.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to move throughout the facility, including use of stairs during emergency situations.

Pay:

$63,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
