About Us:
AestheticEye is a oculofacial plastic surgery and aesthetics practice committed to delivering exceptional patient experiences in a warm, welcoming environment. Our team is passionate about providing the highest level of care, and we're looking for an Ophthalmic Scribe/Technician who embodies that same spirit of hospitality and excellence.
Job Summary:
The Plastic Surgery Surgical Coordinator is responsible for guiding patients through the surgical process from consultation to post-operative care. This role coordinates surgery scheduling, financial arrangements, patient education, and communication between patients, surgeons, and clinical staff. The ideal candidate provides exceptional customer service while ensuring efficient office operations and compliance with medical practice standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary contact for surgical patients Educate patients on surgical procedures, timelines, and expectations Follow up with prospective patients after consultations Answer questions regarding procedures, pricing, recovery, and scheduling Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Schedule surgical procedures, consultations, and follow-up appointments Coordinate operating room availability and surgeon schedules Arrange pre-operative testing, medical clearances, and post-op visits Confirm surgery dates and provide preparation instructions Present surgical quotes and financing options Collect deposits and payments Review treatment plans and consent documentation with patients Coordinate insurance authorizations when applicable Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Communicate with hospitals, surgery centers, and anesthesia providers Ensure all surgical paperwork is completed prior to procedures Assist with front desk operations as needed Build rapport and maintain strong patient relationships Support practice growth through excellent patient experience Track leads and conversion metrics Assist with marketing events, consultations, or patient outreach initiatives
Qualifications:
At least two years of prior experience in ophthalmology, dermatology and/or aesthetic services At least two years of prior experience in surgery scheduling Experience with ModMed (Modernizing Medicine) EMR system is highly desirable Exceptional interpersonal skills and a positive, welcoming demeanor Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Proficient with computers and comfortable with learning new software systems Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally Strong attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with cosmetic financing programs Why Join Us?
