We are seeking dependable, organized, and customer service-focused individuals to join our Monroe Street team as Front Desk Receptionists / Patient Access Coordinators. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available. This position serves as the first point of contact for many clients and plays an important role in creating a positive experience while supporting the daily operations of a fast-paced behavioral health treatment environment. Position Summary The Front Desk Receptionist / Patient Access Coordinator is responsible for greeting clients and visitors, answering phones, scheduling appointments, assisting with administrative workflows, and supporting clinic operations. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, compassion, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while interacting with individuals seeking behavioral health and substance use treatment services.
Primary Responsibilities Responsibilities may include:
Welcome clients, visitors, and staff in a professional and friendly manner Answer and route incoming phone calls appropriately Schedule appointments and assist with calendar management Register clients and support intake-related administrative processes Verify demographic information and maintain accurate records Assist with insurance verification and collection of required documentation Scan, upload, and organize documentation within electronic systems Monitor front desk and lobby areas to maintain a welcoming environment Support administrative and operational workflows across departments Monitor shared email communications and route requests appropriately Maintain HIPAA and confidentiality standards Participate in trainings and team meetings as needed Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Previous receptionist, customer service, healthcare, administrative, or behavioral health experience preferred Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required Strong written and verbal communication abilities required Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting Basic computer proficiency required Experience with Microsoft Office, scheduling systems, or electronic systems preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required Preferred Qualifications Experience within healthcare, behavioral health, addiction treatment, or medical office settings preferred Electronic health record experience preferred Insurance verification and scheduling experience preferred Experience with multi-line phone systems preferred Familiarity with HIPAA and confidentiality standards preferred Benefits for Eligible Employees May Include Competitive compensation Paid time off Medical, dental, and vision benefits Professional development opportunities Supportive team environment Career advancement opportunities Apply Today Interested applicants should email a resume and include the position title in the subject line:
