Job Description

Serving the needs of Garfield Heights and the Southeast communities of Cuyahoga County, Marymount Hospital is an acute care, faith-based hospital. The Manager, Inpatient Pharmacy oversees inpatient pharmacy operations at Marymount Hospital, supporting general inpatient service lines including Med/Surg and behavioral health populations. Based on the first floor of the hospital, this leadership role provides operational oversight for approximately 30 FTEs, including pharmacy technicians, night shift pharmacists, and operational pharmacist staff, while partnering closely with clinical leadership to support coordinated patient care and pharmacy services. This role is responsible for managing daily pharmacy operations and workflow efficiency, including technician scheduling, leading department huddles, and facilitating Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives. The manager plays a key role in supporting operational excellence, team engagement, and effective collaboration across the inpatient pharmacy environment. A caregiver in this role will Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm with no weekends and no holidays. Further work requirements may be required based on facility staffing needs. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Identify and meet patient needs utilizing continuous process improvement techniques. Identify and propose practical solutions to technical, professional, personnel or procedural problems affecting daily workflow. Ensure the department is adequately staffed with properly trained personnel. Establish work assignments and schedules. Participate in the development of operational and clinical program activities. Promote and develop the clinical activities of pharmacy caregivers through counseling, training and teaching. Train and instruct caregivers as to their duties. Coordinate orientation and training of new caregivers in job functions and responsibilities. Monitor financials and other pertinent statistics. Assist with evaluations of financial performance. Maintain records of narcotics, poisons, and habit-forming drugs received in accordance with state and federal laws. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible within 90 days of hire Completion of a health-system Pharmacy Administration or Leadership (HSPAL) PGY2 Residency OR four years of relevant pharmacy experience, including one year of leadership experience Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Pharmacy Degree with current state licensure MS, MBS, PharmD and/or residency
Physical Requirements:
Physical demands include periods of standing and walking. Dexterity sufficient to perform computer functions and communication via telephone. May be required to lift and transport up to ten pounds. Requires normal or corrected vision.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range Minimum Annual Salary:
$118,960.00
Maximum Annual Salary:
$190,360.00 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not include the value of Cleveland Clinic's benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental and vision benefits, retirement savings account contributions, etc.).
