Job Description

Overview We are a busy family medical practice that provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages, including comprehensive prenatal care and delivering and babies. We pride ourselves on offering personalized, compassionate care in a warm and welcoming environment. We are seeking an organized, tech-savvy, and friendly Medical Receptionist to be the face of our practice. In this high-energy role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, balancing administrative tasks, scheduling, and financial duties. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses exceptional multitasking and customer service skills. Because we function as a unified team, you will collaborate closely with clinical staff to support a seamless, team-based approach to patient care.
Responsibilities Team-Based Care:
Collaborate daily with clinical staff to ensure optimal patient flow, communication and care coordination.
Patient Experience:
Greet patients warmly and professionally, making them feel welcome and comfortable from the moment they arrive.
Scheduling:
Efficiently manage the provider's busy office calendar, scheduling appointments and follow-ups.
Billing & Insurance:
Collect co-payments, deductibles, and balances at the time of service. Verify insurance coverage and assist patients in understanding their insurance benefits and coverage.
Digital Record Management:
Work daily with our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to input demographics, update information, and log charts accurately.
Front Desk Operations:
Manage multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette to answer inquiries, schedule appointments, route calls, take messages and provide information.
Scanning & Filing:
Maintain organized medical records, files, and correspondence in compliance with health information management standards. Requirements Warm, welcoming demeanor with excellent interpersonal, communication skills and professional phone etiquette in a highly active office. Previous experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment preferred. Previous experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software is highly preferred. Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and maintain a calm, positive attitude in a highly active office. Ability to handle sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations while maintaining confidentiality a must. Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations. Strong computer proficiency and comfort navigating multiple digital platforms simultaneously.
Pay:
$15.00 - $19.00 per hour
