Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) serves youth requiring a higher level of care while helping them remain connected to their families, education, and community supports. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Clinical Director to lead and oversee clinical operations within our PHP program. Position Summary The Clinical Director is responsible for the oversight, coordination, and quality of all clinical services provided within the PHP program. This individual provides leadership and supervision to therapists, case managers, and other clinical staff while ensuring compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and payer requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in PHP and/or inpatient behavioral health settings, knowledge of Oklahoma Medicaid managed care systems, and experience with prior authorizations, utilization review, and continued stay reviews for PHP levels of care. This position plays a key role in maintaining clinical excellence, supporting staff development, and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the PHP program Supervise and support therapists, milieu director, case managers (in collaboration with the milieu director), and clinical support staff Ensure delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed behavioral health services Oversee treatment planning, clinical documentation, and discharge planning Monitor patient progress and appropriateness for PHP level of care Assist with intake review and admission decisions in collaboration with the program coordinator Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards as well as Medicaid and commercial insurance requirements Manage utilization review processes including prior authorizations, concurrent reviews, and length of stay determinations Coordinate with managed care organizations regarding authorization and clinical justification Support development and implementation of policies, procedures, and program improvements Participate in performance improvement, risk management, and quality assurance activities Provide crisis intervention and clinical consultation as needed Collaborate with nursing, psychiatry, education staff, and administration to ensure coordinated care Maintain a therapeutic and professional treatment environment
QualificationsRequired:
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field Active Oklahoma licensure preferred (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT) Minimum of 3 years of behavioral health clinical experience Experience in PHP, inpatient psychiatric, residential, or acute behavioral health settings Experience supervising clinical staff Strong understanding of behavioral health documentation standards and medical necessity criteria Knowledge of Oklahoma managed care systems and Medicaid processes Experience with utilization review and prior authorization processes for behavioral health services Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
Preferred:
Experience with child/adolescent behavioral health programs Experience preparing for or maintaining Joint Commission accreditation Knowledge of trauma-informed care and crisis intervention Experience working with multidisciplinary treatment teams Schedule & Benefits Full-time position Monday-Friday schedule Competitive salary based on experience Paid time off and holidays Supportive team-oriented environment
