Job Description

Procedure Scheduler - Interventional Pain Management Position Overview Comprehensive Spine and Pain is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Procedure Scheduler to join our growing interventional pain management practice. This team member will coordinate and schedule a high volume of pain procedures including epidural steroid injections (ESIs), medial branch blocks (MBBs), radiofrequency ablations (RFAs), spinal cord stimulator procedures, joint injections, and other interventional pain treatments. The ideal candidate is proactive, efficient, comfortable working in a fast-paced medical environment, and experienced with insurance authorizations, patient communication, and coordinating procedure logistics. Responsibilities Schedule outpatient interventional pain procedures across clinic, ASC, and hospital settings Coordinate procedures including: Epidural steroid injections (ESIs) Medial branch blocks (MBBs) Radiofrequency ablations (RFAs) Spinal cord stimulator trials/implants Joint injections and other pain procedures Obtain and track prior authorizations and insurance approvals Verify patient eligibility and benefits Communicate procedure instructions, arrival times, medication holds, and preparation requirements to patients Coordinate scheduling with physicians, surgery centers, hospitals, and anesthesia teams as needed Ensure all required documentation, imaging, and authorizations are completed prior to procedures Maintain accurate scheduling records within the EMR Reschedule cancellations efficiently and help optimize provider procedure schedules Answer patient questions professionally and provide excellent customer service Work closely with clinical staff, providers, and billing teams to ensure smooth workflow Qualifications Previous medical scheduling experience required Experience in pain management, orthopedics, spine, surgery scheduling, or procedural specialties strongly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology and interventional pain procedures preferred Familiarity with insurance authorization processes Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment EMR experience preferred Preferred Skills Prior experience scheduling for ASCs or hospital-based procedures Understanding of Medicare and commercial payer authorization requirements Ability to prioritize urgent scheduling needs and maintain accuracy under pressure Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Opportunities for growth within a rapidly expanding practice Health, dental, and vision benefits Paid time off and holidays Supportive team-oriented environment About Us Comprehensive Spine and Pain is a large, physician-led interventional pain management practice focused on delivering high-quality patient care throughout Oklahoma. Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
