Job Description

Hunsaker Dental is looking for a self-motivated, energetic, and driven individual to consider for the position of Patient Care Coordinator. ESSENTIAL TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assess patient needs regarding insurance benefits and options. Schedule patient appointments according to scheduling guidelines, notify patients of schedule adjustments. Utilize a multi-line phone queue, answer calls, transfer calls, and make outbound calls. Collect, update, and verify current patient demographic information, maintaining electronic health records. Manage various scheduling tasks daily including cancellation/no show, recall, rescheduling, waitlist, etc. Manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, use Excel spreadsheets, possess basic computer knowledge. Complete detail-oriented work, maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Display a high level of professionalism both in person, on the phone, and with coworkers. This position requires a high level of follow-through and accuracy in a fast-paced work environment. It is the first and last point of contact for patients in our office and as such training and customer service are critical to this position. One year of experience in the patient scheduling area is preferred, however comparable sales experience may be substituted for qualified candidates.
