POSITION PURPOSE:
The Practice Coordinator works collaboratively with the Practice Operations Supervisor to oversee the workflows and essential clinic administrative duties to ensure effective, efficient functioning of the front office within the practice.

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Physical requirements can vary, but in general, this position requires:
- Ability to lift between 5 - 50 lbs unassisted and ability to stand, sit, stoop, walk, stretch, and use full range of body motions.
- Manual dexterity as required for specific equipment and ability to use a computer keyboard and peripherals. The role requires vision adequate to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.
- May be required to demonstrate the ability to differentiate colors on a test strip or other medical test results.
The role requires fluency in the written and verbal skills necessary to successfully perform the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities of the position. Practice may provide reasonable accommodations to enable otherwise qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Medical practice offices with computers and printers, light traffic, and moderate noise. No required tasks involve greater exposure to blood, bodily fluids, tissues, or other hazardous materials than would be encountered by a visitor in a typical medical care setting.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma Medical Assistant Certification or Medical Assistant degree. Minimum of two years' healthcare experience, inclusive of physician practice management experience, in a medical office, hospital or other medical setting is required. Advanced experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Practice Management Systems is required. Experience with CKD EHR, Epic and pMD systems is preferred. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly address patient concerns and questions as well as the needs of practice providers. Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
SPECIALIZED REQUIREMENTS
A background check (which may include: checks of employment records, education records, criminal records, civil records, motor vehicle records, professional licenses, and sex offender registries, etc.) must be satisfactorily completed before any candidate can work for a practice. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current employees who apply for the position. Complies with OSHA, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements, as well as applicable practice and broader Innocura policies and procedures.

Billing turnaround times Co-pay collections Change fund administration Daily collections reconciliations Patient appointment no-shows Patient satisfaction Phone abandonment rates Physician/provider satisfaction Wait time management Knows, understands, follows, and communicates all applicable practice employment policies and procedures and fosters a positive work environment Acts with a high degree of integrity, professionalism and respect for others Serves as an expert in Practice Management systems, EHR systems and other tools (e.g., pMD) used in practice operations Other duties as assigned Cross trained, rooming patients and other medical assistant duties.
