WHAT IS TMS
No experience or knowledge of TMS treatment required! Our Psychiatrist and TMS team will train you for TMS treatment certification and to use our cutting-edge equipment. TMS ( Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) is a non-invasive treatment option for patients with depression, depression with anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Insurance Prior Authorization
  • Complete insurance prior authorization requests for TMS treatment. This includes gathering and reviewing all necessary supporting clinical documentation, tracking authorization progress, and promptly following-up on any outstanding insurance matters. Patient Consultations
  • Conduct consultations with potential patients. This includes insurance verification and explaining the treatment benefits, treatment plans, and expectations of TMS. Referral Generation
  • Drive to local medical groups to promote the TMS program, encourage referrals, and maintain relationships with referral sources. Record Maintenance
  • Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant, and up-to-date patient records, including progress notes and insurance information Payment Verification
  • Submit treatment information to billing specialist. Track and verify that payments are received correctly Administer TMS Therapy
  • Provide direct patient care and support that adheres to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols. This responsibility is shared with a dedicated TMS technician. Scheduling
  • Maintain TMS treatment schedule for coordinator and technician Collaborate with Providers
  • Work with healthcare professionals to promote patient success Additional responsibilities as assigned
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Minimum of 1-2 years' experience with medical insurance prior authorization Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems Strong interpersonal skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention-to-detail Dependability with a commitment to follow-through for both treatment and administrative tasks Passion for helping patients succeed in their mental health journey
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity equipment (including, but not limited to computer printer and copy machine) Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time Occasionally positions self to control TMS equipment
