Job Description

Manager, Transplant Program | Proven Outcomes | Hershey, PA If you're a healthcare leader interested in gaining transplant experience across the continuum—from referral through post-transplant care—and have a track record of driving outcomes, this is a program where your expertise will stand out. At Penn State Health and Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, we're seeking a Manager, Transplant Program to lead a high-performing team within a solid organ transplant program recognized for exceptional 3-year heart transplant outcomes. Why this role stands out Lead a transplant team of 7 direct reports in a collaborative, patient-centered environment Oversight of clinical operations across the transplant continuum (pre-transplant, transplant, post-transplant) Partner closely with a supportive Director of Transplant Services on strategic growth, quality, and program expansion Work within an academic transplant center with access to multidisciplinary expertise Key responsibilities Manage day-to-day clinical operations of the transplant program Drive transplant quality metrics, outcomes, and regulatory compliance (UNOS, CMS) Lead process improvement, patient safety, and performance initiatives Collaborate with transplant surgeons, hepatology/nephrology/cardiology teams, coordinators, and multidisciplinary partners Support program growth, patient access, and transplant volume optimization Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an appropriate allied health or hospital leadership position required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in a healthcare related field. Strong candidate will have one (1) or more years of experience with transplant and or cardiovascular services. Managerial and financial experience within a hospital setting preferred. Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret and produce financial plans and reports preferred.
