Job Description

Job Summary Schedule:
Full-Time | Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm We are seeking a professional, organized, and customer-focused Medical Practice Coordinator to join our healthcare team. This individual will serve as the face of the practice and the first point of contact for patients, playing a key role in creating a positive and welcoming experience from check-in to check-out. This position is ideal for someone who understands the entire patient workflow—from scheduling and insurance verification through payment collection and claim support. In addition to front-office responsibilities, this role will support important medical billing and revenue cycle functions , making prior experience in both patient-facing operations and insurance/billing workflows highly preferred. The ideal candidate is personable, confident communicating with patients about scheduling and financial responsibilities, highly organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment. Responsibilities Greet and check in patients in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with appointment scheduling and questions Manage patient scheduling, confirmations, and calendar coordination Maintain an organized and efficient front desk/reception area Verify insurance benefits, eligibility, and patient coverage Process prior authorizations and assist with insurance-related administrative tasks Perform charge entry, payment posting, and EOB reconciliation accurately and timely Support patient billing, collections, and discuss self-pay pricing and financial responsibilities professionally Collect co-pays, self-pay fees, and patient balances Provide claim support and assist with insurance follow-up as needed Maintain and administer patient information within the EMR/Practice Management System (AdvancedMD experience strongly preferred) Ensure accurate patient documentation and demographic information Provide administrative support to providers and office staff Help maintain a smooth daily workflow and exceptional patient experience Qualifications Previous medical office or healthcare administrative experience required Experience with medical billing, insurance verification, payment posting, charge entry, and EOB reconciliation strongly preferred Experience with AdvancedMD strongly preferred Strong understanding of insurance verification, benefits, prior authorizations, and patient financial responsibility Comfortable discussing pricing, collecting payments, and handling patient collections professionally Strong communication, customer service, and phone skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a busy medical office setting Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and patient-first mindset J & J pays WEEKLY and we offer Direct Deposit, Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits, Paid Time Off, and a $$$ Referral Bonus $$$ !!!
