Accounting Supervisor - Inpatient Rehab Division

Overview The Accounting Supervisor plays a vital role in supporting a group of hospitals within the Inpatient Rehab Hospital Division by overseeing key accounting functions and ensuring accuracy across all financial activities. This position leads and mentors accounting staff, driving strong internal controls and upholding high standards for financial reporting. The ideal candidate brings proven leadership experience, excels at organizing and prioritizing multiple responsibilities, and approaches challenges with sharp critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Success in this role also requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of colleagues. Responsibilities Supervises and provides direction to assigned staff Collaborates with accounting leadership and assigned staff in completing the month-end close process. Promotes best practices and continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls. Supports the Accounting Manager with accurate and timely information. Promotes audit readiness and assists with completing internal and external audit activities. Assists with accounting integration for acquired businesses Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Minimum of five years of applicable accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare industry accounting environment Working knowledge of US GAAP principles. Expertise with the Microsoft Office productivity suite. Oracle, OneStream, and MedHost experience is desirable Healthcare industry accounting experience is a plus.
