Healthy Aging Position Summary:
In this highly interactive role, you will plan and lead a variety of programs that promote wellness, independence, and social connection -- ranging from fitness and health education to social and recreational activities. You'll also play a key role in coordinating nutrition services, including congregate meals and Meals on Wheels, while ensuring a welcoming, safe, and engaging environment for all participants. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety, takes initiative, and is passionate about making a meaningful impact. You'll build connections, lead programs, and help create experiences that empower older adults to live healthier, more connected lives.
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Health, Fitness, Recreation or Exercise, preferred; other bachelor's degrees with experience working in the health-related field or with the older adult population will be considered; and, Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR certification (required by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging) within initial employment period.
Requirements:
One year of experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access, and Excel) and virtual/teleconferencing tools Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Clearance, Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Clearance, and National Sex Offender Registry check current within 90 days of employment; Motor Vehicle Record check Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with appropriate insurance coverage Ability to perform essential job functions, including standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 20 pounds unassisted, with normal or corrected vision and hearing, and the ability to access handicapped-inaccessible residences. •Interested applicants should view the full job description and fill out our online application at www.stepcorp.org/careers-service/ STEP Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
