As a Clinical Supervisor at Merakey at our Drug and Alcohol Program in Philadelphia, you'll help shape a team dedicated to empowering individuals on their path to healing, growth, and lasting change. The Clinical Supervisor serves as a key leader within the Drug and Alcohol Program, supporting a positive, client-centered environment and guiding the team in delivering effective, recovery-focused services. This role helps ensure strong clinical practices, staff engagement, and overall program success.
Responsibilities include:
Staff Management Hire, train, and staff to meet program needs; coach supervisors on interviewing Provide ongoing staff guidance, mentoring, and feedback Complete evaluations; manage promotions and terminations Lead union-related processes for terminations and major violations Oversee supervisor handling of lower-level issues (attendance, performance) Step in for supervisor duties when needed Model and reinforce Merakey Core Values Promote a collaborative team environment Approve staff timecards Program Administration Provide weekly supervision and bi-weekly team meetings Support staff professional and licensure development Attend assigned meetings Assist with evidence-based practices Handle administrative tasks (incident reports, case reviews, complaints) Earn $32.16 per hour. Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Education:
Master's degree or higher in a generally recognized clinical discipline. Preferred to be registered, licensed, or certified to practice if applicable.
Work Experience:
2 years of mental health experience, paid or unpaid Knowledge and understanding of severe mental illness, recovery principles and recovery driven service system Supervisory experience
