The Health and Wellness Coordinator at Casa San Jose is responsible for designing and implementing programs that support the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of the Latino community in western Pennsylvania. This role involves assessing community needs, coordinating wellness initiatives such as health education workshops, fitness programs, mental health support, outreach activities, and building partnerships with local healthcare providers and wellness experts. The coordinator ensures that programs align with the organization's mission and are accessible, inclusive, and impactful. Strong communication, cultural sensitivity, and a passion for community service are essential in this role. Key Responsibilities Coordinate efforts with the Communications team and partner agencies to promote Casa San Jose health and wellness programs and resources. Facilitate the client's access to Casa San Jose resources, programs, and services by promoting the organization's programs with the Latino community. Develop, coordinate, and improve client's access to mobile clinics and other medical services. Organize community events focused on sharing health and wellness information, while actively encouraging participation in research programs and promoting public health prevention strategies. Engage different partners to promote and expand programming services for the Latino community. Support and represent the Latino community by actively engaging in advisory committees, boards, and other influential decision-making spaces Ensure compliance with and proper application of HIPAA regulations Provide services in compliance with contracts and Casa San Jose's ' regulations Track program metrics, outcomes, and participant feedback. Maintain accurate records of program activities, participant data, and expenses. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. Previous case management experience preferred. Demonstrated computer proficiency, especially with MD Office, G Suite and CRMs such as Salesforce. Minimum 1 year of experience in health and wellness program coordination or nonprofit programs. Experience working with Latino or community populations is strongly preferred. Skills and Competence Fluency in English and Spanish (speaking, reading, writing). Demonstrated ability to work efficiently as part of a team Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and being able to administrate and prioritize multiple, often competing, priorities Demonstrate strong attention to detail Demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills Demonstrate excellent judgement with the ability to solve problems independently Must possess excellent customer interaction, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills. and written and verbal communication skills Knowledgeable about available resources for Latino immigrants Uncompromising ability to maintain confidentiality. Working Conditions:
Some evening and weekend hours may be required. Local travel to program sites and partner locations.
