Job Description

We are creating a church that even our unchurched friends love to attend... a place that inspires people to follow Jesus... a place where kids drag their parents to church. But we need a leader who will help keep it going -- a strategic, self-starting leader of leaders who is able to gain buy-in from volunteers; gain influence with babies, preschoolers, and elementary kids; and gain confidence of their parents. Lake Oconee Church is twelve years old and a long-time ICN partner , meeting at our 15 acre campus at Lake Oconee in Greensboro, GA. Our ministry-area is Georgia's "Lake Country," consisting of Greensboro, Madison, Eatonton, and Milledgeville. We're located just south of I-20 beside Lake Oconee, about 60 minutes from Atlanta, 60 minutes from Augusta, and 60 minutes from Athens. The area offers one of the biggest lakes in the state, one of the best charter schools in the nation, and some of the prettiest golf courses around, allowing us to serve young families, successful business people, and mobile retirees. To be successful in this role, this full-time Children's Director we are seeking needs to be a driven, strategic, relational leader who has a solid theological framework. This Director will be accountable to the Family Ministry Director who oversees infant to graduate. A ministry-related degree is not required. Familiarity with the North Point Ministries ministry philosophy is a plus. The selected applicant can expect an intentionally healthy staff culture, a team of committed volunteers, monthly collaboration with like-minded professionals, a competitive salary, and generous benefits (including health, dental, vision, life, disability, counseling, retirement, flex-time, paid time off, periodic remote work, etc.). Qualified applicants can send their resume with relevant experience, education, and references to cmd@lakeoconeechurch.org . No phone calls please.
