N.Cambridge, MA Position Summary:
Neighborhood Counseling and Community Services, Inc is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Director to join our team at our mission driven non-profit organization. This position involves interacting with referring providers and conducting intakes; maintaining a clinical caseload providing high-quality mental health services; and supervising pre-licensed clinicians or interns who are working in a school-based setting, as well as in outpatient mental health. The ideal candidate is an independently licensed mental health professional with strong clinical skills, a passion for mentoring emerging professionals, and the ability to maintain clinical documentation and compliance standards.Key Responsibilities:
Conducting Intakes (Approx. 25%): Communicate with referring providers and conduct clinical intakes for groups and individual clients. Communicate as needed with clinicians regarding their schedule openings, and distribute intakes as appropriate. Clinical Services (Approx. 50%): Provide direct psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, families, or groups (approximately 1 group and minimum of 10 individual clients weekly). Conduct intake assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Maintain accurate, timely, and HIPAA-compliant clinical documentation. Participate in case consultations and clinical team meetings as required. Coordinate care with external providers, as needed. Clinical Supervision (Approx. 25%): Provide individual and/or group clinical supervision to associate-level clinicians or interns. Monitor supervisees' clinical work, ensuring adherence to ethical standards, agency protocols, and legal requirements. Assist supervisees in developing treatment plans, formulating diagnoses, and enhancing therapeutic skills. Complete supervision documentation in a timely manner, in accordance with board and agency requirements. Collaborate with the Clinical Director to support clinician growth, address concerns, and provide feedback.Qualifications:
Required:
Master's or Doctorate in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field. Active, unrestricted independent clinical license in Massachusetts (e.g., LICSW, LMHC, PsyD, PhD). Minimum of 2-3 years of post-licensure clinical experience. Experience supervising pre-licensed clinicians or graduate interns. Strong understanding of DSM-5, clinical interventions, and documentation standards. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Preferred:
Experience working with diverse populations and school-based, shelter and outpatient settings. Familiarity with EHR systemsWork Environment & Schedule:
Flexible, part-time/ full-time schedule (30 hours minimum up to - 37.5 hours/week), including options for evenings or weekends. May include hybrid or remote supervision sessions. Position may be contracted or salaried depending on arrangement. A State of MA CORI check is mandatoryCompensation:
Base Salary of $50,000 yearly + monthly stipend for health care premium reimbursement for maintaining 30 hours weekly (intakes, clinical supervision and a minimum of 10 clinical billable hours weekly) 10 paid holidays 3 weeks paid time off (includes sick leave and vacation) $250 annually for CEUs Reimbursement for licensing fees Reimbursement for professionally liability insurance premium Fee for Service Hourly for outpatient therapy (beyond the minimum of 10 clinical hours weekly): $60 per hour ongoing individual session $75 per hour for new client sessions $100 per hour each group facilitated $1,000 sign on bonus after completion of introductory period (after 3 months)Pay:
