Embracing Service, Inspiring Innovation, Promoting Teamwork, Pursuing Excellence, and Advancing Equity Responsible for conducting inspections/investigations and ensuring all licensing activities and services related to the program are in compliance with departmental standards. Evaluates licensing activities and services, as well as applicants for licensure to determine the degree to which standards are carried out effectively. Prepares pending licensing application packets in a timely manner for review by the section manager. Maintains and manages all pending license application files for new facilities, change of ownership (CHOW), bed increase/decrease, closures, etc. Conducts inspections/investigations of healthcare facilities, service providers, and/or applicants. Reviews and manages all documentation related to the licensure of facilities. Reviews applications for completeness; collects, assembles reviews and submits all application packets to administrative support staff to issue licenses in a timely manner; keeps the Field Manager(s) and the Section Manager informed about CHOW's and initial applicants. Reviews Reports of Visit (ROV) submitted by team members; reviews and manages plan of correction (POC) submitted by facilities/services. Completes the ROV tracking long to determine when a plan of correction needs to be submitted to the Department. Completes the POC tracking log to determine acceptance of submitted POC. Serves as a resource contact and provides technical assistance for the public, providers, pending licensees, and inspectors as needed. Consults with local resource professionals and facility administrators, through providing technical assistance and incorporating excellent customer service in all contacts with external and internal customers. Maintains contact with customers and other relevant professionals regarding licensing activities as appropriate. Performs other duties as necessary; to include but not limited to providing training to new support managers and other new personnel; preparing for and presenting evidence in hearings/trials; participating in disaster preparedness and response; and is designated as an essential employee, subject to duty and /or call on 24-hour basis during an emergency. Ensures all required training is completed in a timely manner.
State Minimum Requirement:
A high school diploma and work experience relevant to the area of employment.

Able to accommodate round trip for up to four (4) hours and distances of up to 400 miles and occasional overnight travel. Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends, holidays, and able to exceed eight (8) hours of work per day when needed. Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds to a distance and/or height of up to 20 feet. Must be able to bend, stoop, and climb as part of the inspection process if needed. •Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered in meeting the minimum qualifications, subject to approval by the DPH Chief Human Resources Officer, or their delegate.•Applicants indicating college credit or degree(s) on the application may upload an unofficial copy of the transcript as an attachment to the application. Please note that the agency will require an official, certified copy of the transcript or diploma prior to hiring. Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. A bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health Administration, Business Administration, Physical or Natural Science or a related field and two (2) years of experience in related work experience.

HYBRID WORK
