Serve with Compassion. Achieva Hospice, Inc. , located in Upland CA, is seeking an experienced and compassionate HospiceAdministrator to lead the daily operations of our growing hospice agency. With an average daily census of less than 10, this position offers a unique opportunity to provide meaningful leadership in a collaborative, patient-centered environment where quality of care is always the highest priority. The Administrator is responsible for the overall management, regulatory compliance, strategic planning, financial oversight, and operational performance of the hospice while working closely with the Director of Patient Care Services (DPCS) and Medical Director to ensure exceptional care for patients and families. Primary Responsibilities Provide overall leadership and administrative oversight of the hospice agency. Ensure compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation, California Title 22 regulations, and all applicable federal, state, and local requirements. Direct agency operations, budgeting, staffing, and strategic planning. Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and compassionate patient care. Collaborate closely with the Director of Patient Care Services and Medical Director to ensure high-quality clinical operations. Lead Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities. Ensure survey readiness and successful regulatory compliance. Oversee policy development and implementation. Support recruitment, retention, and professional development of agency personnel. Build positive relationships with referral partners, healthcare providers, and community organizations. Minimum Qualifications Applicants must meet the Administrator qualifications established under California Title 22, Section 74876, including: Bachelor's degree or higher in a health-related field. Minimum of two (2) years of full-time supervisory or managerial experience within the past five (5) years in one or more of the following: Hospice agency Home health agency Primary care clinic Licensed health facility Demonstrated knowledge of hospice operations, healthcare regulations, and quality management. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead interdisciplinary teams while maintaining a collaborative and supportive work environment. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field. Previous hospice administrator experience. Experience leading regulatory surveys and maintaining compliance. Strong knowledge of California hospice regulations and Medicare reimbursement. Why Join Achieva Hospice?
