This role is based out of our Elizabethtown office and supports services across the Fayetteville, Bladen, Robeson, Cumberland, Columbus, Lumberton, Whiteville, and surrounding areas. This is a leadership role for someone who wants to help organize, support, and strengthen a community-based behavioral health program. It is not a fully remote therapy position. The right person must be comfortable with field-based work, staff support, documentation expectations, client engagement, and team accountability. You will not be expected to build the program alone. Agency leadership, intake support, billing support, administrative support, and compliance support will be available to help the program operate successfully. What You Will Do The Clinical Team Lead will help oversee the daily operation of the Community Support Team program.
Responsibilities include:
Providing clinical guidance and support to CST team members. Helping ensure services are delivered in a timely, ethical, compliant, and client-centered manner. Completing or assisting with Comprehensive Clinical Assessments, updates, addendums, treatment planning, and clinical recommendations. Reviewing service notes, treatment plans, discharge documents, and other clinical records for quality and compliance. Leading or participating in regular team meetings, case reviews, and service planning. Monitoring documentation quality, staff follow-through, client engagement, and service delivery expectations. Coordinating with care managers, hospitals, referral sources, community partners, MCO/LME partners, and other providers as needed. Supporting crisis prevention, discharge planning, continuity of care, and client stability. Helping identify service gaps, staffing needs, workflow issues, and compliance concerns. Representing the agency professionally in the community. What This Role Requires This position is best for someone who is dependable, organized, clinically sound, and willing to be actively involved in the work. The ideal candidate should understand that community-based services require flexibility, follow-through, documentation, and teamwork. This position requires someone who is invested in helping build a strong program, not someone looking for a low-involvement or short-term role. The right candidate should be able to: Communicate clearly with staff, clients, families, referral sources, and leadership. Balance clinical judgment, documentation review, staff support, and community-based service delivery. Work with adults who may have serious mental illness, substance use concerns, housing instability, justice involvement, or other complex needs. Attend required in-person meetings at the Elizabethtown office. Travel within the assigned service area as needed. Complete documentation and follow-up tasks in a timely manner. Accept accountability and help hold the team accountable. Required Qualifications Applicants must have an active North Carolina clinical license or associate clinical license.

The agency will provide support, but the person hired must be ready to lead, follow through, document properly, attend meetings, travel as needed, and help create structure. This is a good fit for a clinician who wants leadership growth and meaningful community-based work. This is not a good fit for someone looking for a fully remote position, minimal client contact, limited accountability, or a short-term role. Work Location The position is listed in the Fayetteville region for recruitment purposes, but the office base is in Elizabethtown, NC . Candidates must be able to attend required in-person meetings in Elizabethtown and provide services within the assigned regional service area.
