Medical Assistant / Patient Care Coordinator Naperville, IL (Primarily) | Occasional Hinsdale Coverage Part-Time | Evenings & Weekends Required About Golden Hour Wellness Golden Hour Wellness is a physician-led mental health clinic specializing in Ketamine Infusion Therapy (IV Ketamine), Spravato (esketamine), medication management, and psychotherapy. We are committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care in a welcoming environment while helping individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, and other mental health conditions. As our practice continues to grow, we are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and highly organized Medical Assistant to support both clinical operations and patient care coordination. Position Summary This is a hybrid role combining traditional Medical Assistant responsibilities with front-office and patient care coordination duties. The ideal candidate is comfortable interacting with patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, assisting providers during treatment sessions, and helping ensure a smooth patient experience from the initial phone call through treatment completion. This position requires evening and weekend availability. Primary ResponsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities Obtain and document patient vital signs Prepare treatment rooms before patient appointments Assist providers with Spravato and ketamine infusion workflows Monitor patients during treatment sessions under provider supervision Assist with patient intake and screening procedures Document patient information accurately in the EMR Maintain treatment supplies and inventory Clean and reset treatment rooms between patients Support REMS compliance requirements for Spravato treatments Assist with patient comfort needs during treatment sessions Administrative Responsibilities Answer incoming phone calls Schedule and confirm patient appointments Verify insurance information and benefits Assist patients with intake paperwork and onboarding Send appointment reminders and follow-up communications Coordinate provider schedules and patient flow Assist with prior authorizations and administrative projects as assigned Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families QualificationsRequired Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or equivalent) Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working with patients experiencing mental health conditions Reliable transportation Evening and weekend availability Preferred Experience in psychiatry, behavioral health, ketamine therapy, infusion services, or outpatient healthcare Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) Experience in a customer-facing healthcare role Schedule This position will primarily support our Naperville location.
Required availability includes:
Weekday evenings Saturdays Occasional Sundays Occasional coverage at our Hinsdale location as needed Compensation Starting pay: $23-$30 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications.
