Medical Director/Clinical Supervisor Location :
Langhorne, PA Department :
Outpatient This is a leadership position responsible for the medical oversight of Penndel Mental Health Center (PMHC) programs, and for the quality of clinical work done by the prescribing staff. The Medical Director assures that treatment is offered with compassion and expertise and is responsible for ensuring all medical practices of PMHC programs follow PMHC policies. Qualifications (Education and Experience):
  • MD or DO with at least two years of clinical supervisory experience.
Essential Job Duties:
The Medical Director is responsible for the overall operation of the agency psychiatric team in tandem with the Associate Executive Directors, including but not limited to: Daily management of prescribing staff. Collaborative agreements with CRNPs on staff Maintaining a clinical caseload. Performing psychiatric evaluation and medication management for Outpatient Departments. Ensuring clinical supervision is available during all operational hours. Participating in strategic planning initiatives. Providing clinical trainings to all clinical staff. Participating in the peer review processes and quality assurance initiatives. Maintaining regular meetings with prescriber staff to discuss clinical cases, treatment plans, policies and procedures. Developing and implementing policies and procedures for the operation of the psychiatric outpatient clinic. Overseeing the employment, supervision and discharge of clinical staff according to established personnel policies. Performing related duties as required/assigned by the CEO.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires: This position normally requires the physical demands of standing, walking, bending, lifting, sitting on the floor or performing other work requiring low physical exertion, ability to move quickly in a crisis situation, talking and hearing on a regular basis to perform the job requirements. These physical demands are required up to 80% of the time.

This position is on-site at a minimum of 3 days per week with the ability to discuss schedule.
