In this role, you will be the backbone of daily administrative functions, supporting both clinical staff and patients with efficiency and professionalism. Your expertise in utilizing an electronic health records (EHR) system, and patient service will help create a welcoming environment that prioritizes accuracy, confidentiality, and exceptional care coordination. This paid position offers the opportunity to making a meaningful difference in patients' lives. Responsibilities Manage patient scheduling and coordinate appointments using EHR system DoctorChrono. Surgical scheduling Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks, including Medicare and Medicaid processing. Maintain comprehensive medical records by filing, retrieving, and updating patient files while adhering to HIPAA regulations for health information management. Provide front desk support by greeting patients, answering multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, and managing patient intake efficiently. Assist with medical administrative tasks such as preparing care plans, reviewing documentation for accuracy, and supporting office management activities. Utilize computer skills to document patient interactions accurately using EMR systems, proficient typing, strong organizational skills and familiarity with basic computer programs are preferred. Two days per week in main office (Pennington, NJ) and 1-2 times per month (
Office Locations:
Morristown, NJ; King of Prussia, PA). Option to work from home when not in clinic. Various other administrative task as needed. Qualifications Experience in a medical office environment or healthcare setting with familiarity in clinic operations and medical administrative support. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and insurance verification processes (preferred). Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review and medical records management. Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to ensure confidentiality of protected health information (PHI). Office experience including clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, data entry, and managing office supplies is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude.
