Practice Description:
We are a trusted Direct Primary Care (DPC) practice dedicated to providing personalized, high-quality care. Located in Tampa, St Pete, and Boca Raton, Florida, we offer a wide range of services, including telemedicine, routine check-ups, preventive care, and management of chronic conditions and acute illnesses. Position Summary The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) is responsible for providing high-quality clinical and administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the outpatient clinic and an exceptional patient experience. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient-centered care. This is not a traditional practice. Here, you'll have the time and resources to focus entirely on patient care without the pressures of meeting quotas, rushed appointments, overwhelming patient loads, or excessive administrative tasks. Job Tasks The PCC/MA will perform a variety of duties, including, but not limited to: Clinical Care Accurately measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature. Perform InBody body composition analysis as required. Conduct routine Electrocardiograms (EKGs). Perform point-of-care testing, including but not limited to: Urinalysis Strep/Flu/COVID tests Blood glucose testing Perform in-office phlebotomy procedures for blood collection. Care Coordination and Follow-up Follow up on all patient care needs, including: Ensuring referrals are completed and scheduled. Tracking and sending lab/imaging results to patients and providers. Monitoring and managing patient recall systems for chronic care management and preventative screenings. Coordinating with external healthcare providers, specialists, and facilities. Administrative Duties Schedule patient appointments and manage the clinic calendar. Prepare and maintain patient charts. Handle patient inquiries and communication regarding care and administrative matters. Key Competencies Joyous, positive, and professional demeanor. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in medical terminology and basic clinical procedures. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Successful completion of training at an accredited Medical Assistant training program. Medical Assistant Certification preferred. 3+ years of Medical Assistant experience preferred. Strong phlebotomy skills required. BLS certification required. Compensation and Benefits This practice offers a highly competitive compensation package commensurate with experience. $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
