Job Description
Overview Are you a resourceful and achievement-oriented self-starter? Are you looking to thrive in a professional services environment? This may be the job for you! Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a Practice Management Coordinator . This is a hybrid position based in any of our West Coast Offices. In this role, you will be supervised by and work closely with the Senior Practice Manager ( SPM ) of the Corporate Business Unit to support the daily operations and strategic initiatives. Responsibilities Provide competent, energetic, proactive and reliable support to the Corporate Business Unit SPM in a fast-paced, deadline-driven working environment. Develop relationships with business professionals across the firm to foster trust and inspire confidence in the function and role of Practice Management Coordinator. Assist in scheduling and planning practice group and other meetings, including content generation and smart use of the firm s Artificial Intelligence resources. This will require proficiency with the Microsoft suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams, and an aptitude for learning and leveraging new technology. Track and aggregate information from various firm systems related to staffing, utilization, performance, budgets, recruiting, billing rates, and other projects as needed. This work may involve initial data analysis and compiling and maintaining information for SPM. Assist SPM with staffing requests, including utilization analysis and workload assessment for associates and counsel. Assist SPM with initiatives and special projects, including planning, scheduling, expense management, managing written materials, and drafting communications related to same. Help project-manage collaborative efforts with various departments and professionals across the Firm. Support processes associated with attorney human resource matters. Assist with a variety of projects using firm technology and resources, as needed. Qualifications BA/BS or equivalent work experience is required 1 to 3 years of experience in professional services environment Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office, Teams and Zoom skills. Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiency are essential. Ability to learn about, and act in consideration of, the requirements of a professional services environment. Strong relationship-building and project management skills. Strong attention to detail and good judgment are imperative. Ability to prioritize and juggle time sensitive matters appropriately. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Commitment to collaboration; comfortable taking initiative while seeking appropriate guidance. Ability to take direction and multi-task. Ability to use discretion while working with highly confidential information. Strong interpersonal skills. Who is Orrick? Compensation and Benefits The expected salary range for this position is: Silicon Valley and San Francisco $61,000
- $90,000 Los Angeles, Orange County, Santa Monica, Sacramento, and Seattle $57,000
- $85,000 Portland $54,000
